The company has many years of experience within the wireless field and has for the last couple of years been focusing on wireless technology and infrastructure. Today, the group has built one of the largest fixed wireless broadband infrastructures in Northern Europe. This infrastructure is deployed and operated in Norway by the GIPZ subsidiary, Direct Connect AS.

The GIPZ group is now expanding the business in preparation for full international focus and future deployments of wireless broadband networks will also consist of Mobile WiMAX solutions.

The group is actively pursuing further opportunities to strengthen the knowledge within the GIPZ group and has recently acquired Hyper Urban User Level Sweden AB (Hulu Sweden) a WiMAX technology leader delivering a complete line of WiMAX products.

The GIPZ group has in depth knowledge of the full value chain for mobile and fixed wireless communication. The group is handling product development, testing, and manufacturing of hardware, network and capacity planning, network deployment by skilled project managers and deployment teams, and the group includes an experienced service provider and operator with a complete set of self developed back office systems.

The GIPZ group is very well positioned to deploy broadband services in new markets, assist other operators with planning and deployment, and the group is evaluating interesting markets to expand the operator role in partnership with other companies.
